About Jonathan

Jonathan Espalin is an Award-Winning landscape designer and mixed media artist.   He designs, creates, and manages ecological gardens and landscapes that  seek to harmonize human needs and environmental well being and re-integrate us into nature.   His mixed media paintings and prints interweave images of nature and civilization.

Jonathan has  been practicing landscape design since 2007, and has a Master's of Landscape architecture from University of California at Berkeley, and a degree in visual arts from University of California, Davis.   He lives in Olympia, Washington, and works in the Puget Sound Region, after re-locating from Northern California in 2024.
